Class Description:

In our data saturated world, it is easy to lose sight of the fact that for all of the digital tidbits of personal information that can be amassed about individuals on the Internet, we are still dealing with living, breathing human beings. The most valuable assets of the network we know as the Internet have always been the people using it and the connections they make with each other. Digital engagement is the process of attracting and sustaining an online community of fans/followers/customers/supporters/users. This course will examine digital engagement best practices in public interest advocacy, in government, and in business. We'll explore behavioral marketing techniques that can help you become both a better individual 'node' on the network and a better weaver of networks for change and growth.
