Kelly Brown completed the Applied Information Management Master’s Degree in 1997, when he wrote a research study titled Change Management in the Semiconductor Industry Using Computer Modeling and Simulation. Kelly worked at Hewlett Packard while earning his AIM degree, beginning in R&D as an integrated circuit layout designer. He soon shifted into computer administration.
After AIM, he moved on to roles in IT engineering, project management, and retired this year as IT infrastructure manager with worldwide responsibility for inkjet manufacturing. Kelly is also a member of the AIM faculty. He has taught two short courses: Year 2000 Strategies; and CIO: Influence without Authority. In fall 2007 he taught an experimental core course on the changing role of the chief information officer, and the potential significant impact on the future direction of IT within the management structure of organizations.
