Dr. Schultz' interest in ethics led to a dissertation at Harvard on that subject completed under the direction of John Rawls. He taught philosophy courses at the University of Pittsburgh, Cornell University, and the University of Southern California. While at Woodbury University in Burbank, California, he taught a variety of courses including systems analysis, decision support systems, philosophy of technology, organizational behavior, etc. He also served as Woodbury's Director of Academic Computing.
In the business sector, Schultz served as principal consultant for the Vernon Business Incubator Project and as Data Processing Manager for A-Mark Precious Metals, Inc., a Forbes 500 company. Dr. Schultz' publishes and presents frequently on the topics of database design, IT education, and the philosophy of technology.
In his spare time, Schultz was a contestant on Win Ben Stein's Money (he won) and also was a winning contestant on the Crosswords TV show in March 2008. And last but not least, he was a member of the 2004/2005 Jeopardy contestant pool. He expects to requalify and eventually become a Jeopardy contestant.
