Teaching Opportunities
We are committed to staying on the leading-edge and welcome new course ideas and expertise. If you have earned your master’s or doctoral degree and have teaching experience, and have developed a course or idea, we invite you to contact the AIM Program Coordinator with a preliminary proposal at aim@uoregon.edu. Please note that AIM does not reimburse instructors for course development. However, AIM staff work as a team with faculty to develop courses designed to meet the educational needs of our students.
Propose a Short Course
If you have an idea for a short course (twenty hours of instruction), e-mail AIM a description of the proposed course at aim@uoregon.edu. In your e-mail, include information on your credentials and teaching experience.
Teach an Existing Course
If you're interested in teaching an existing AIM core or short send e-mail to AIM at aim@uoregon.edu. In your message, include the name of the course you wish to teach, your credentials, and teaching experience.
AIM Graduates
AIM graduates are encouraged to propose short courses (twenty hours of instruction) for consideration. E-mail AIM a description of your proposed course at aim@uoregon.edu. Also include information on any teaching experience you may have and an updated resume.
AIM Course Structures
Core courses run for seven weeks and accommodate up to forty students.
Short courses generally enroll fewer students than core courses and run for four weeks.
