What do AIM students and alumni say about the program?
The Capstone process, and the AIM Program in general, has been an extremely rich and rewarding experience. Thanks in large part to the AIM Program, I have seen significant results in my professional growth over the last three years, ascending from an IT System Administration position to IT Manager, and then most recently to Director of Information Technology. Completing the AIM Program has further helped me to achieve a strong sense of personal accomplishment.

AIM provided a great bridge from technical to business. It helps technically minded people understand the business processes.

I was chosen over other qualified librarians [for my current job] because of my unique information management experience and my diversified AIM Master’s Degree. Thank you, UO!

Everyone I've communicated with, from email to phone, were extremely cordial, professional, courteous and helpful.

I discovered much more about myself (learning and communication styles) than I had anticipated. I was also immediately able to apply lessons learned at my work. I am now comfortable establishing and growing relationships with teammates in a learning environment.

The instructor [Jane Maitland-Gholson] communicated heavily and ensured that she was available to assist students. I have rarely been given such support from a traditional instructor.

I have many years of experience (and failure) trying to explain these technologies to others but have never found the proper way to "lead people down the path" to understanding. The structure of this class [Data Management and Communications] did it so well I believe I will pay the greatest compliment by copying it for the internal training I do.
