Personal Description

Marsha Willard is CEO of AXIS Performance Advisors. She has been consulting in both the public and private sector for over 25 years. Willard applies her management consulting, training, and facilitation skills to help organizations find responsible solutions that meet all stakeholder needs: owners, customers, employees, the community, and the environment. Willard is recognized for her expertise in the implementation of sustainability. She has co-authored six popular business books, including The Business Guide to Sustainabilityand A Step by Step Guide to Sustainability Planning.

In addition to her consulting practice, Willard founded and served for seven years as the executive director of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP)—a professional association serving specialists in the fast growing sustainability arena. ISSP connects professionals from around the world, provides a rich data bank of useful resources, and delivers professional development and training.

In addition to her long relationship with the University of Oregon, Willard is a faculty member at the Pinchot University, and has previously taught at the Presidio Graduate School and Oregon State University.
