Course Description

This short course provides an overview of information visualization, the science of transforming quantitative analysis into visual representations that utilize the powerful processing capabilities of the human visual perceptual system. Students explore methods of transforming data into effective visualizations in order to increase understanding and drive informed decision-making. Topics include data visualization techniques, visual perception, and cognitive issues.
