Course Description

Examines critical information design trends impacting professional information managers. The focus of this course is digital content policy, the laws and regulations that govern Internet based information management. The course is a survey of network management, copyright and intellectual property, personalization, privacy, and emerging technologies policies. You will gain an awareness of the current state of these policies from a manager's perspective, and a look into the political debates and policy making processes surrounding these issues.
