As a technology strategy consultant, Kelly Brown specializes in optimizing computing infrastructure and applications to match business needs and constraints. He takes a keen interest not only in IT operations but also in how IT provides strategic value to an operation, now, and in the future.

Brown has 26 years experience with Hewlett-Packard, retiring in 2007 as the worldwide information technology infrastructure manager for the inkjet printing operation. In this role, Brown had responsibility for establishing and executing strategy for computing infrastructure in Europe, Asia, and North America for inkjet manufacturing, both internal and contract.

Brown began teaching for the UO Applied Information Management Master's Degree Program in 1998 and has taught courses in information technology management, technology strategy, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, innovation and business management. He served as the AIM academic director from fall 2012 to spring 2015, overseeing curriculum development, faculty and student participation, and program policy.

Besides working and teaching, Brown has interest in scouting, cycling, and his beloved Harley.
