Kuli Mavuwa is the chief privacy officer for Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) where he leads the effort to strengthen the OHSU Information Privacy and Security Program. Mavuwa provides direction and oversight for workforce training, policy development, policy enforcement and investigations for policy and related violations.

Previously, Mavuwa served as the associate privacy and security officer and most recently was the security engineering manager. As security engineering manager, Mavuwa led a team of information security engineers in planning and implementing strategic security initiatives designed to enhance the OHSU Information Security Program.

Mavuwa received his doctor of jurisprudence degree from Lewis & Clark Law School and a master's degree in engineering management from Portland State University. During law school, he worked as information systems engineer for OHSU and adjunct instructor for Portland Community College.
